I found a guy parting out a Mountaineer locally and the seats were in great shape. Got the seats, console and sun visors for $80. Everything was pretty much bolt in, had to slightly enlarge the seat frame holes in two places. Also the driver seat is power so I hooked that up as well. These seats are so much more comfortable to sit in.

I was in a hurry towards the end, had other vehicles needing to get in the bay I was using (read that as paying customers, I own the shop )
I ran a positive and negative cable from the 12v plug on the left side of the radio. Fortunately, the seat only requires a +12 and ground to run all the functions. Technically, you could ground right from the seat track bolt. All you need to run back is the power. But I ran both wires inside some loom and in the console I had just installed to keep it clean. At some point I'll take the time to wire in the 12v socket in the console as well!

The difference in seat comfort is so great it cannot be put into words. The stock Ranger seats are horrible, like sitting on a wooden chair. The mountaineer seats are like plopping down into a Lazy Boy.

The only thing I didn't have was the console lid. I found one at the local metal scrap yard (they have a buncha cars they part before they crush) for $5, though it is the tan color. At some point I'll recover it

So any ford seats would fit on a 99 ranger single cab?

No, from my understanding the single cab cannot have the other Ford seats, only supercab. The single cab require the track they are on transferred to the new seat. (which would require some modification is most all cases)
