mustang dome light asthetics
I'm looking at doing a mustang dome swap and have just 1 question about the end product, does the mustang dome light cover the entire opening from the original single bulb dome?

Re: mustang dome light asthetics
Yes it does, I have one in my 02 which had a stock light that had switches and one on my 03 which had a stock no switch light and it completly covers the area that they took up and looks stock.

Re: mustang dome light asthetics
Here is a pic of the Mustang dome light I put in my 2000 Ranger. Yes it covers the hole completely.

Re: mustang dome light asthetics
What I found with mine (regular cab) was that if you cut the pin on the top of the light so that it sits smoothly, you light up your rear view mirror. But, if you leave the pin there (leaves a slight gap on the passenger side that isn't noticeable unless you look for it) the lights are aimed pretty well.
Overall, it gives you controllable light with a flip of a switch, which some trucks don't have.

+2 to this ANY I might add that if you use LEDS you can actually direct the light much better.
I actually enlarged the opening of the light so that I could aim the leds downwards more at an angle. The way they are set up is perfect for an extended cab but for us single cab rangers the way that the light is angled is a little high. When I turn the lights on the light up the entire front dash (which isn't a bad thing)
Super easy to modify the light and tweak it for one's specific needs. I also changed my headliner to black suede so you don't even really see the 2mm gap from the light on the passenger side. Everything blends together since it's all black.
