Interior issues!
Looking for some advice of what to look for with these issues-
1. Pretty sure the last owner of my truck had the third brake light leak. there's some minor discoloration, and it seems I'm starting to grow mold...not the black kind thankfully. just seems to be some white stuff that's spreading slowly from the back of the cab to the front on my headliner. Any advice in getting rid of it, aside from getting a new one? My interior cab light is almost incrusted with this crap, and ever since i bought it the third brake light hasn't worked at all.
2. My floor is constantly wet., it doesn't seem to coming in from the firewall, and the back panel isn't wet. So is there some sort of drainage hole, or hole in general, that is in the floor? Driver side only, passenger side is nice and dry.
I'm in Ontario Canada and won't really be able to do anything until it gets warmer, but if I'm gonna need to replace things, it'd be nice to get a head start on ordering so once the warmer weather starts, it'll be a quick swap without waiting a month for shipping. Any suggestions for replacing the stock, and soggy, carpet?

Re: Interior issues!
Check the rubber stripping on the doors. Roll the windows all the way up and spray the doors down good and see if there's water in the cab.
Also, check the plugs under the doors. Mine has two small plugs on each one. They can leak water.
As for the headliner, I'd either treat it or optimally throw that shit out and get some new headliner for 40 bucks. Better yet, if you don't like punching your ceiling like I do, put some bedliner on it. It looks good just use a sponge. I guess you could also clean the brake light and seal it with silicone or something.

Re: Interior issues!
Thanks for the suggestions! I took the truck to a car wash and cleaned it up, damn salt trying to turn my beautiful black truck white. I didn't see any water getting in from the door, the rear sliding window, the third brake light, or the firewall...so I'm thinking I have some sort of hole and or leak in the floor pan. Otherwise I wouldn't have come out to this nice mess 2 days before I got to wash it. I kinda wonder if this is why the last owner traded it in. It seems I'm gonna have my work cut out for me this summer.
Just when I was getting ready to start saving up for a 8.8 - 4.10 diff , or a DJM 2/3 lowering kit

My 01 has drain plugs in the floor. Perhaps your truck has drain holes in the floor as well, but with the plugs missing? Water could spray up through the drain holes and soak your floor. They would be under your carpet

Re: Interior issues!
Had the same problem. Had new windshied installed thinking that has to be it. Nope. Pulled the floor mat then took a garden hose and let it run in the outside cowl vent. I found water coming in where the floor meets the kick panel wall. The caulk had dried and cracked. When I pulled the floor mat I found both the driver and passenger floor had rusted. My fix was to use fiberglass mat 2 inches wide (1inch each way) and put it in the corner of the floor and kick panel from the door opening to as far up the foot well I could reach.
I patched the 3 small rust holes with fiberglass mat, cleaned it up and applied rustolem. It is always parked outside and after a year has not leaked.
Just a idea you could check.

Re: Interior issues!
I wrote an article on leak detection that may help in the future, it is in the interior tech section of this site.
