Default Help Mr. Ranger Guru!!

I have a 1995 Ranger, 4 cyl., manual, 2wd. The radio keeps floppin out at me every time I shift.... so I took a shotcut and "gorrilla glued it" (just until I can figure out what I am going to do) because $130.00 for a new bezel is just rediculous!! Well, now, the radio decided it was going to take a doodie so I un-did my "mickey mouse" to check if maybe the wires came loose. Of course now the radio is flopping out again. I currently have 100 MPH tape (b.k.a. duct tape) holding the bezel to the dash (horray for duct tape!!).

Fridge... this radio business is driving me crazy. I am sick and tired of having it mickied. Do you guys know where I can get an aftermarket bezel OR what models of the Mazda Bwhatever/Explorer/F150 are comptatible to fit? Also, I am going to have to change out the radio. Would still like to stay with stock... which of those are compatible? How new can I go? I mean... will a radio from a 1999 - 2003 Ranger work or are the back plugs completely different?

Thankies!!

I actually checked there before posting this... the bezel is for a 4x4... it won't work for me.

Check out ebay. You can pick one up for right around $50.

Thanks! I just found one on e-bay! I am still not sure what radios are compatible with which years or if the plugs in the back are different.

I am actually looking at a CD/Radio unit... not sure what it's off of... looks like it might be out of a Explorer BUT, it's VERY similar to what I have in my truck now. The only difference is, what I have now is a cassette.

Would part number 1L2F-18C815-HA work in my 95??

Nevermind... I actually called the dealership and spoke with a REALLY knowledgeable guy. He said the harnesses/rear plugs change quite often from year to year... and there are usually upgrades. That part number is from a 2001 Explorer and the gap between the years is too far... it won't work.
