Default New 99 Owner

Hey guys just joined the forum after picking up a gorgeous 1999 Ranger XLT. Truck looks and drives great but i did have a question regarding the dash light for the E Brake. I noticed when the emergency brake is on, the light on the dash doesnt illuminate, so im assuming the little bulb back there has taken an early retirement. Would changing this involve removing the cluster from the truck or is this accessable from behind the dash. Figured i would ask

thank you

Jeff

do a search on here for changing bulbs, but yes you will need to remove that cluster to change the bulb

Are you sure the light is out or is the switch sticking.

Kinda opposite from your problem, my brake light is always on no matter what. I'd check the switch because its not like the brake light is on for very long when it does work, so it shouldn't burn out before anything else.
