My air will turn on when i turn it on. but every setting except high is the same. High is just high. So i figured the resister was bad. so i changed that and the harness. and now it still the same. I dont know what else would do something like this. I was thinking maybe the resister isn't making a connection inside the blower. next time i take it out ill try to feel around and see if i can feel anything odd. No way in hell i could see in there. but other then that any thoughts? thanks

The original blower resistor connector can be rusted, Id take it appart and spray some electrical connector cleaner. Also, to prevent rust in the future, apply some electrical grease to the connector, to seal it.

If that doesnt solve the problem, try to replace the dashboard fan speed knob.
A friend had this issue with his Ranger, it wasnt the resistor, so we took appart the fan speed knob and we found that the grease inside this knob was all messed up. We cleaned it and apply new grease, it worked like new again!

Blower speed resistors is the first thing to check since it's the easiest to do.

I changed the resistor and i put a whole new wire harness on there so I know its not that. unless like i said before maybe its not making the connection inside the blower. I still haven't had the time to check though. Work keeps me very busy. I don't much understand what you mean by the nob. It clicks between the 4 different setting so the nob itself is okay. I guess it could be the control module but I don't think so since it works on high and on low and the 2 in the middle are the same as low but they do work.
