new to this so here goes..I am trying to fix up my 01 ranger and the 60/40 cloth seat is worn away on the drivers side.. I bought another seat from the junk yard out of a 2000 it is just like mine, but the plug is only a two wire where mine is a four (air bag and seat belt) my question is am I better to strip the upholstery off or switch the railings.. don't know which is easier.. Thanks

Are the seats out of the same cab style as yours? The rails will not swap on 98+ trucks.

As for the seat belt and pretensioner, if the seats do swap, it comes out easily and (i believe) bolts right in... I think mine did (2000 seats in a 2002 - a 2002 has the same seats as you)
