Default Oil Guage jumped peg

So this happened...

Not sure how, but obviously I'd like to fix it. Will pulling the instrument cluster off grant me access to the arm so I can move it over? Never taken it off, would like some insight before I dig in

Thank ya'll

All you have to do is remove the radio bezel (2 7mm screws) kick plate (4 7mm screws) metal kick plate thing (5 8mm screws) cluster bezel (with headlight switch) (5 7mm screws) cluster (4mm screws) and the plastic cluster bezel (7? 5.5 mm screws or a torx bit)

Takes me 15 minutes (i've done it literally hundreds of times) but my first time was about an hour

Alright cool I was hoping that would be it, was planning on switching for LEDs anyway as I have a dead bulb. Any idea what caused this in the first place? Bad resistor?

Had one about 180 degrees out, just moved it back and it's worked ok since.

I used a very small brad nail, painted black, as a stop, so when the needle goes wacky again, it will swing and strike that little post and not be able to go all the way around. A drop of glue holds that little nail. Did that after fixing it twice, as the disassembly is not hard, but is too involved to do quickly. Put the small nail under the H. I used one of the brads as a drill bit so the hole would not be over-sized.
