Default window alignment

Driver's side window drops forward when rolling it up. Causes binding and I have to manually lift it backwards to roll the window up all the way.
What adjustments can be made to keep the window level when rolling it up?

More than likely, your regulator is broken. The regulator lifts from the centerline of the glass, and if the glass is diving forward, then something is broken. You would want to pull off the door panel and see what is causing the bind. There is no "adjustment" per se., but the rear and front glass guides have a small amount of adjustment for fore/aft adjustment, maybe 5-10 mm. I'd bet that the attachment to the window or the regulator itself is damaged. Is it a power or manual window?

the regulator is broken.. mine did this about a month ago. you probably hear something rattling around in your door when you open and close it too, don't you? that would be pieces of your regulator.lol

the trick is, to find them and put them back together, i used bolts, washers and nuts to re assemble mine. if you need to see what it looks like all together, take off the passenger door panel and look at the regulator there for reference.

Guess I should hve mentioned that I just completed installing a new regulator. Tought that would correct the problem. But it did not.
I was thinking the front and back guides were adjustable to some degree.

Thanks for the responses.

They are adjustable, to some degree as you stated. Loosen both top and bottom bolts on the guides, roll the window all the way up into the weatherstrip, then tighten the bolts where they sit. This is the factory adjustment, if it still tries to move forward, there is something wrong with the regulator, or the location of the regulator relative to the glass...

My brand spanking new truck had a similar problem, caused because ford didn't think it would be necessary to grease the tracks.

Might be worth your while looking into that.
