Default Window problem

My window tilts up going up and slow up

I already replaced the window regulator along with the motor

What else can cause it to chug up slowly

Default Re: Window problem

too much play in the window run channel can cause this.

You can try and clean the run channel with a scotch bright pad, you can replace them for around 60 dollars per door.

Or even just use silicone spray on the channels as a temporary band aid.

Some suggest that the center rail with the with plastic guides are worn which allows the window to tilt too much.

I have even seen someone here put plastic tie straps over the white plastic guides to make up for the excess gap and have luck doing it.

I think you just need to replace the window run channels and replace the outer window seal to help keep dirt and dust out of the door.

If you want a perfect operating window replace number 5 and 2 for preventive maintenance replace part 9

Again I think you just need part 5 ( the window run channel )

The good thing is none of these parts are expensive.

If you do replace these parts, when you remove the glass clean the entire glass before reinstalling it.

Make sure to clean and polish the areas that slide along the window run channel perfectly.

You will not be able to get these areas once the window goes back in.
