Default Cabin air filter?

2010 ranger XL reg cab stick with reverse.

Does it have a cabin air filter or ford said screw our customers?

If no, when it is dusty which setting does NOT SUCK IN AIR FROM THE OUTSIDE?

How does the system minimize dust from going inside or it does not?

Good question. I just got a 1997 and I was wondering when they started putting in cabin air filters. Does anyone know what year?

They dont have cabin air filters and Im pretty sure that rangers dont have a recirculate feature so it always pulls from outside. Could be wrong on the second part.

Rangers do not have cabin air filters. Even some newer full sizes don't. My bosses 2012 150 platinum is a 50k dollar truck without a cabin air filter.

This is what Alldata has to say about a Cabin filter in a 2002 Ranger

The air distribution system of this vehicle cannot be equipped with a cabin air filter.

There are two sources of air available to the air distribution system:
outside air
recirculated air
Recirculated air is only used during MAX A/C (if equipped) and OFF modes.

Air distribution within the vehicle is determined by the function selector switch position. Airflow control doors are used to direct airflow within the air plenum chamber. Vacuum control motors are used to position these airflow control doors.

The air distribution system is designed to provide airflow from the defrost nozzle when no vacuum is applied to any of the vacuum control motors. This is done to prevent a situation where defrost cannot be obtained due to a system vacuum leak.

Air enters the passenger compartment from the:
instrument panel A/C register.
heater outlet floor duct.
windshield defroster hose nozzle.
side window demisters.
Passenger compartment air is exhausted from the vehicle through open windows or cab air vents.

looking for a cabin filter for a 2010 and a 2015 at Napa.com showed no results

Heck--that's one of the reasons I bought the truck--no cabin air filter. Wife's 2002 Taurus has one and they're expensive and a big pain to replace. I'm old school, and back in the day when you wanted fresh air, you opened a window.
