Default A little tip for explorer seat swap on '10 xlt

When I did my explorer seat swap, I was having trouble with the seat belts. The belts off the old seats had the pretensioner, which the explorer I got the seats from did not. (Pic of the seatshttp://i.imgur.com/gIrIriK.jpg, yeah i know its messy I cleaned it though) So basically I didn't want to have to modify any of the fabric to hide the ballistic cannister, but I had to have it tucked away. I couldn't figure out how to get the cable out of the holster housing, so I looked for a new seatbelt holster.

I then realized that the rear seat belts for the jump seats are the same size as the driver and passenger side. I took the door panel off and took the holster out (it's a large torx head) The explorer seats had a metal tab from the seat belt in the explorer, and I just used a bolt and a nut to secure the holster. Once I get a center console in it'll be awesome.

I have a 2011 Ford Ranger and have wanted to go to buckets but I didn't know what could be done about the side air bags. Does your airbag dash light illuminate?

No way around that. Some have said if part of the system is compromised (not using factory belts with shotgun shells) removing one of the airbags ect, that it disables the entire airbag system. Probably worth some research.
Plus the pass side has that occupancy deal in the seat base

What? The fuck? That's got to be the most worn and torn 2010 on the road. The hell is a seatbelt holster
