Junkyard cluster swap
Is there a instrument cluster with a tach that will swap right into my '98 and plug-n-play? I have the 2.5 suckamatic with out tach.

Re: Junkyard cluster swap
Yeah, just find an auto XLT with the tach cluster, it's plug and play. Just did it to my truck on Thursday. Doesn't matter what engine the donor vehicle had, just that it's auto.

Re: Junkyard cluster swap
Check out the sticky on swapping your odometer too. Another one lists the years you can use for your truck. I believe both are in the "how to section".

Re: Junkyard cluster swap
Thanks Sarge, it's ready to swap when a replacement is found. Speedo fine, looking to add tach like any motor should have.

Re: Junkyard cluster swap
I eventually want to get a tach as well. A vehicle with a manual transmission and no tach just doesn't make sense to me. But that is a "nice to have" item. I have things that need fixed before I look a "ice to have" things.

Suckamatic? Turbo that 2.5L and you can run 12's in the quarter! With about 3 grand.
