Need Help! Airbags & safety Features

Well my Airbags deployed on my 04 ranger edge ext. cab, and I took them out and will replace them. But my problem is that my seat belt Locks broke(I guess for safety reasons so you won't get trapped). I don't know how to replace them or any other safety features I broke. Need to get all of it fixed tomorrow so I can get my New inspection Sticker. Someone help?

you need a new seatbelt buckle and the seatbelt itself. But I highly doubt a dealer will stock all that stuff. Plus it's expensive. Be prepared to shell out about 1500-2k just for parts

Have any Idea for removal? I Have no idea how to take the buckle off, I can figure out the belt itself.

pull the seat out. There is a pretensioner in there. That is why it doesn't work anymore

Going to a junkyard and see what I can get Instead of a Dealership. Cheaper and I like doing it Hands-on myself. From what I'm seeing on their prices it's gonna cost me 200-400 for it all.

it's your money/truck/safety but I HIGHLY recommend going New on stuff like that. It's not worth it to chance it on used safety components.

No offense dude but even if. You knew what to do no way in a day. Even if you had the parts my guess is there is an ecm reset or something that would need to be done by dealer after deployment.

Take the seats out and use a 13 mm ratchet wrench and upholstery clip removal tool to remove old seatbelt pre-tensioners and install the new ones. This is so simple a 8 y/o kid could do this. You should have got a good set of pre-tensioners from the salvage yard where you bought the air-bags.
I would end up re-placing the whole seat before I let the stealership rob me.

you have to replace the RCM. They fry themselves when the bags fire

Yea, that's it. RCM lol. There are companies that will reset them but I assume the Ford dealer would also? for a much higher cost of course.

ford can't reset them. Only replace

When bags deploy. Bags, sensors, modules, and seatbelts must be changed. Most cased after all have been replaced the system will reset itself. If not an average scanner works for most. FYI when you do this work be sure your battery has been disconnected for atleast 30 minutes unless you want bags going off again.
