Default help with seats

I just got these seats http://norfolk.craigslist.org/pts/1760370916.html and console trying to find out more about what rangers these seats were in. The drivers side has two togle switches and the passangers side has one going frount back and reclining are manual I would like to know what the switches do and get a wiring diagram to hook them up by Randy

And it'd probably be silly to ask the seller.

Are you putting these into a vehicle that did not have power seats?

seller did not know other than ranger. Yes they are going into a nonpower seat ranger Randy

Possibly a Ford Explorer. Kind look like what my father in-laws has in his 1999

I dont recall any ranger ever having power seats.

See if you can get a couple pic of the underside of that driver seat.

For now to get power to the seats, you'll need to add a fused circuit from your power distribution box, and run wire to the cab. Then you'll need to locate the power and ground wires on the seats. The harness heads you'll see on the bottom of the seats would of course be bypassed in favor of direct wire splices.

Basically all the seats need is power and ground, But since you are adding them to a Ranger, you will want a separate power source that is fuse protected.

I recommend focusing on determining which wires are which and testing the seats function as step one if your interested in doing this.

Which brings us back to your first post, in which you were asking how to do this in the first place.

I have been told that the are out of around a 94 ranger with lumbar power option owners manuel shows lumbar power coming off fuse # 6 power window and lumbar. they are going into a 94 ranger. I will start tomorrow if not raining Randy

yep, early gen 3s had those seats with power lumbar. the driver and passenger back lumbar, and the driver's leg bolsters move. also were found in explorers.
