The switch in the door latch can't be lubed wuthout takin the door latch out they sre known for going bad. Not that hard to do just a pain if you have big hands. Lmctruck.com or rockauto.com has a replacement if you want them to work. Good luck

Are you positive that the door is closed? I was mad at my light and sprayed all kinds of liquids in there with no success. Then I noticed when I shut my rear doors of I tugged at the bottom it actually WAS 'open', like the bottom latch wasn't engaging. If I slam it hard enough it will close and no door ajar light. When weather warms up I'm going to adjust the latch out a hair. Just a thought

Today i went and tried to get my light to turn back off so i unplugged the sensor that tells you if the door is open and that didnt do anything so then i tried connecting the wires that didnt do anything either. The reason i think that its the passenger door is because if you have the keys in when its shut off and open the driver door it dings at you but the passenger door dosent ding if you open it. And i dont think that the rear doors would have a sensor on it so i dont know what to do any more

Take the back door and shake it to see if any any any movement is there. If it not latch the front doors not latch all the way. I believe that you have the same issue I have had on 4 of my ford's. Only thing is im not sure which side I fixed I just took all of them apart and lubed up

Good luck

What do you mean Charlie if you try to shut the front doers with the back open nothing happens. The back doors do have slop on the bottom of the doors when they shut so are their the dumb sensors on the back?

The rear doors do have sensors, and are known to cause the door ajar light to be on.

The sensor is on the bottom latch, I think.
