How exactly do you adjust the latch out on the rear doors. I think that might be my problem

Use a torx bit or a vise grip pull out after loose

Lubricate these latches often as they are prone to absorbing the salty mix in the winter.

Open your doors, and the catch plate is bolted to the floor of the cab. Loosen the two torx screws and pull the catch plate SLIGHTLY outward, then re-torque the screws. Close the door and tug on the bottom half, there should be no play in the door.
Repeatedly slamming the rear doors causes the plate to move over time, at least that's what I'm assuming.

So once i am done with that the doors should have no play on the bottum?

If the plate is in the correct spot and the latch is functioning properly, there should be no play in the door when you close it

If its moving that means the door is not properly closed at the bottom.

The latch in the door must engage the catch plate. If the catch plate is pushed too far back, the latch cannot engage the catch plate because the door can only close so far before it hits the cab.

Make sense?

Well i just went and checked the torx bolts to adjust the rear and that are all stripped out and all rusted. So i just sprayed the latch down with wd 40 and im hop in eventually it fixes itself. Could i take off the rear door panel and un plug them? If so how do you take off the rear door panel. Is it all just those press in stupid things.

Other option, which is what I'm doing right now, is hold the door by the lower half and close it firmly to make sure the bottom latches. Tug on the door after closing. If it moves, try again. If it doesn't move then you're good. If your door isn't latched properly then the door ajar light is coming on because the door is in fact ajar lol

But to remove the rear door panel use trim prybars or a putty knife and pull it straight off towards you. Its held on by a bunch of "Christmas tree" push pins

Okay then im just going to unplug bolth rear ones then. You know how you can take a screw driver and close the latch when the is door open well i did that and once it closed i could just pull it back open without pulling the door latch so i think that it might be screwed up.
And so i just need to take off the seat belt strap and then pull the panel off? Their are no other fasteners hold in it on?

FINNALY! I DID IT! the light is now off and the interior lights can now work again! Thank all you for the help

I just cut the wires. I spent like a half hour with my arm and head jammed inside my rear doors before i said "screw it i dont need the rear sensors any way"
