led dash lights
I have a 2003 ranger and I want to replace my burnt out dash bulbs with red LEDs. I just need to know what kind and how many.

Re: led dash lights
I did exactly as you are about to...and a couple months later my dash was like a disco...LED's started flashing like crazy...had to pull them back out...IMO replace them with a good set of bulbs and be done, the difference wasnt all that great! And the PIA of having to take it back apart wasnt worth it IMO.

Re: led dash lights
I agree, 30 min job for person who knows what he is doing and has done it before
How long have you had the Asian LED's in and would you be able to share a link?

Ok, I'm getting a new stainless face plate with red lenses so a white bulb would work too

Re: led dash lights
Buy them from Buggman, he has them in pretty much every color. I spent about $40 for the cluster, hvac, and headlight switch and I couldn't be happier. Would advise against the cheap ebay shit though

Too many variables to determine brightness based off a picture but then again I wouldn't enjoy staring at the sun while driving either

No kidding? Wonder if it has to do with the dimmer switch? I keep mine as dim as possible in hopes of longevity but that's weird though

It's blue LED's - if you have issues getting blinded by blue LED's I would see a doctor
And by brighther I mean more blue, that's the goal for a blue LED, right?
