Parking brake light stays on all the time
Hey, my parking brake light stays on even after disengaging the parking brake. The interesting thing is that when I do a hard acceleration, when the most inertia is present, it will turn off for a matter of seconds.
My assumption is that it could be the brake line itself???
It's not like its a problem or anything but its annoying...
I'd like a second opinion, thanks in advance.

Seems you are having brake problems all the way around.

My brakes aren't that bad. There good when I have traction, but they suck when I have any less than perfect traction.
And the pbrake is fine...it's just the light.
One thing I should point out is that they squeak sometimes while braking...I guess it's time for a brake job lol

if you arnt leaking fluid and your reservoir is low, Id be checking pad/shoe thickness. you probably need brakes

Yeah, the fluid level is where it should be and has been there for the past 6500 miles. The brakes are at least 6500 miles old. How often should brake pads be replaced?

Check parking break sensor under dash. If your spring doesn't go all the way up the light will stay on. An easy test is pull up on parking brake when it is released.

Re: Parking brake light stays on all the time
there is a pushbutton switch behind parking brake. With parking brake on,push button,if light goes out then your switch is good.it might not be striking the switch. I just adjusted the switch bymoving it a hair &tightening the nut. that fixed mine, on my 07.
