I have an '05 Ranger Edge. Both the driver's side and Pass side doors rattle when I hit any decent sized bump. I'm talking about the actual door itself. If I put pressure against the door, it stops. It's driving me crazy. I've looked for ways to adjust the striker and latch, but came to the conclusion that they aren't adjustable. How can I fix this? It's driving me insane. Thanks.

the striker is adjustable, but thats not your problem. the screws holding your door panel to the door are probably just loose.

X2. if you have taken the panels off numerous times for speakers, etc. they will never be as solid as they were before. take them off and make sure everything is secured. maybe some new plastic push screws (plastic Christmas tree things) I think there are a few of them.....

The door panels have never been removed. Ever. Bought the truck brand new. It's definitely the door bouncing on the striker. Is there some way to adjust it that I'm not seeing? What's the procedure for adjusting the latch/striker/whatever I need to adjust? Thanks.

I have the same problem! It definitly not the panel. Its the latch and striker

It's actually less of a rattle and like a clunk. I looked again at the latch and striker but there doesn't look to be any adjustments I could make.

then your not trying. the striker will loosen up when you back the bolts out that hold it into the cab, unless the 4 door strikers are different than the 2 door versions.

Sounds more like a latch needing cleaned and greased than misalignment. I think if alignment were the issue, you would notice that while opening and closing the doors. Either way it's fixable.

ive closed the latch with the door open and its just loose and moves back and forth a little. i jsut dont know how to tighten it
