I got a 94 ranger xlt with the split bench seat and I'm wondering could I change that to bucket seats and if I could what would it take to do it and what would work as far as year models and stuff like that.

Re: bench seat to bucket seat conversion?!?
Yep, Search is your friend...many many options. You'll need bucket seat tracks but it's an easy job, the seats just unbolt from the tracks and swap around. Hardest part is getting your seats out to do the swap, they put 'em in tight at the factory. On the other site, (somethin Station), there's a list of year models and which other vehicles have the best buckets to try. If you're a big guy, don't even consider the smaller buckets from Mustangs, Tempo's, etc. They are made for the little people.

Get 93-97 60/40 split bench tracks and explorer bucket seats. Take off the explorer tracks and bolt up the ranger tracks. If you get power seats the tracks are worth a little bit on ebay. So you can recoupe some money.

Nevermind thought you had a full bench. With the 60/40 split bench just get explorer buckets and put your seat tracks on them. I did the swap in my truck with a full length console and I love it.

Oh you didn't say you have an extended cab. You can use the explorer tracks then. Your easiest seat to get is explorer buckets. Except a lot of times they are beat to death

Re: bench seat to bucket seat conversion?!?
Also, Mazda B-series pickups as late as 2003 have tracks that will bolt right in and you might find bucket seats that are fairly nice in a truck that new. I found a 60/40 bench from a 2003 recently wrecked Mazda B-3000 and they bolted right into my 93 XLT supercab Ranger....SaWeeeeet.

Re: bench seat to bucket seat conversion?!?
Go with the expo seats it will take a bit of searching to get good ones. i picked up some leather eddie bauer ones for about $80 and if there is any issues with the material check out theseatshop.com they have replacement leather and i also believe they have cloth pieces cut to fit those seats i order 2 brand new leather bottoms for mine since they were beyond repair. But my seat backs were in good shape. Plus you can keep power from the expo seats if you chose to.
