Thanks.
Knew I had to drill. I am confused because bracket doesn't sit right when you put up to the roof.

i feel like putting your headliner back in will make it a bunch easier for positioning it

I have a 97 reg cab and I could not use the bracket for it. I tried at first but the console had about a 1 inch gap between it and the headliner. All I did was dremel the slots for the front of the console and used self-tapping screws for the back of itThis might help. I will try to get some pictures of mine tomorrow for you.

Here are some pictures of mine and how it was mounted.
Used the holes to mount the console to the roof frame instead of the bracket

Dremeled slots just wide enough for the clips to pop in. I also made them a little long so I could slide the console front or back to get it where I wanted it.

Hope this helps.

yea i used a grinder for mine, just be careful if you go that route, because the sparks can set ur headliner on fire. But mine turned out just fine, the hardest part is cutting your headliner and tryin not to freak out about it lol
