OHC wont work
For some reason the bracket on ohc wont work on my truck (nowhere to drill for slots or screws) I tryed to bend it cuss at it no go.The ohc came out of 1998 Exployer and was going into a 96 reg cab Ranger. I have the headliner out (going to recover it).Any thoughts or am I a dum.

Re: OHC wont work
Thanks.
Knew I had to drill. I am confused because bracket doesn't sit right when you put up to the roof.

Re: OHC wont work
i feel like putting your headliner back in will make it a bunch easier for positioning it

Re: OHC wont work
I have a 97 reg cab and I could not use the bracket for it. I tried at first but the console had about a 1 inch gap between it and the headliner. All I did was dremel the slots for the front of the console and used self-tapping screws for the back of it This might help. I will try to get some pictures of mine tomorrow for you.

Re: OHC wont work
Here are some pictures of mine and how it was mounted.
Used the holes to mount the console to the roof frame instead of the bracket
Dremeled slots just wide enough for the clips to pop in. I also made them a little long so I could slide the console front or back to get it where I wanted it.
Hope this helps.

Re: OHC wont work
yea i used a grinder for mine, just be careful if you go that route, because the sparks can set ur headliner on fire. But mine turned out just fine, the hardest part is cutting your headliner and tryin not to freak out about it lol
