Hey guys, So I just swapped out my 60/40 bench seat in my 91 for some escort/mustang GT bucket seats. they are sweeeeet, but now im lacking one very important thing which would happen to be a center console. Any ideas?

Explorers had 2 consoles. Full length and shorty. In your case shorty is your best bet.

Have you seen any older rangers with this or any threads on it? 1st and 2nd gen rangers? That would be the most helpful for installation but with the shorty version it makes more sense.

Yep. Look in the expos and some rangers came with them too. Get all the bolts and brackets for it.

I looked around a little bit I need to go to pull n save tomorrow. I've Aldo read a couple threads on it the only problem.is can I just screw all of the brackets down? Or is there a complicated process to do that?

i just drilled holes ran bolts and lock washers and then some silicone around them to prevent leaks works great for me. There are two styles to the center console the older ones like for your year have cup holders side by side and the newer ones are inline. Ive seen the older ones in a newer ranger without much modification so id bet you could fit a newer shorty in your truck but not 100% positive.

I have a shorty console I could sell you cheap. It needs the cup holder & the arm rest bracket.

Hey guys just wanted to update real quick, I got the short console in. It was fairly easy and quick. All I did was take the console lay it over the rear bracket it then held the rear bracket in place while I pulled the console off screwed it down and repeated with the front bracket. I did not remove any carpet, my truck did not have any actually spots allocated for a console, and it took total about an hour worth of work and about 20 bucks. Really really worth every bit of time and money. Its working great so far

Mine had dimples pressed into the floor pan but no holes so i just used those for my bracket.
