Seriously...........your dropped the dash in a quest to replace an air filter that even the owners manual makes no mention of? Does it even make sense to believe that even if it existed, that dropping a dash to replace it would make sense?
Back to burritos, beer and vapor reducing charcoal lined shorts................

Re: The Mysterious Cabin Air Filter
^^^ After a pound or two of chips and HOT salsa (5/5-star heat), HOT burritos (5/5-star), a few HOT tacos (5/5-star) and wash it all down with beautiful, delicious beer, it's always nice to practice ones crop dusting skills, elevator/staircase vap release, and release of vap in the line leading to the cash register and when the person behind you is yapping and screaming into their cell phone. Give them something to really yap about, "something" that brings tears to their eyes and nose. No air filter, ever.

Cabin air filters have everything to do with A/C.

you can remove a cabin filter and be fine.
We've had cars come in without a cabin filter and the AC worked fine

The whole purpose of a cabin air filter is to keep the evaporator coil clean, the A/C will indeed work fine without one.

Ever been stuck in traffic with your window down and had someones cig smoke waft your way? Yuck. Now, have you ever wondered if you're killing people on the way way home from an awesome (5/5-star heat) dinner at the Thai food restaurant with your windows down?
BTW, both the condensation from running the A/C along with sucking in some water running it in a driving rain does a pretty good job of rinsing dirt off the evaporator coil. This, and the fin profile on the coil is different than the fin profile in the A/C in your furnace.

Re: The Mysterious Cabin Air Filter
Well, I'm no mechanic, that's for sure. I just watched a YouTube video and the guy mentioned that if you have any A/C issues, check out the Cabin Air Filter. I now know that since I don't have one, its not the issue. It must be something else. My A/C runs cold for 15 minutes and then it blows warm air. That is the problem that I am facing but I feel like it belongs in a different thread. Gonna take it in to a pro
