Hey guys,

So I bought a 1984 ford ranger with a key that was stuck in the ignition cylinder, still turned fine and everything, but wouldn't come out of the ignition. That was all good for awhile, but with my doors not locking either I decided it was time to get a key that came out of the ignition so I don't have any joyriders.

Ordered a new ignition cylinder with keys and installed it just fine, turned good and would start the car etc... But even with this brand new ignition cylinder the key was stuck in the ignition.

Not sure where to go from here, any comments would help!

Not sure about the 84, but my 87 has a button on underside of the column (lock) you need to push up on to allow you to turn the cylinder fully to extract the key.
