There are resistors to limit the current already on the strips as they come. 391 ohms I think. Right now I have the positive and negative leads just hanging out back so I can wire them to a DC transformer and test it in the house. Not sure how I'm going to connect it yet but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

And the needles are crazy, if I know how to do that, my next project is this. As that being said, any help on that subject I would greatly appreciate it sir. Thanks
They are the same LEDs that come on the strips, I just cut them out with scissors. I didn't have any 391 ohm resistors so I chose 2 x 240 = 480 ohm in series instead (looks just as bright). I don't have specs on these, but I measured Vf = about 1.9 or 2.0. I did the math and it works out, plus R on my circuit is higher than the R = 391 on the stock one.

The windows on the gauge faces are the same size as the ring so none of the output is hidden.
Good idea and to hear that they will fit like that.
I have added but have not fired up (need to determine the pins for light power) the red LED BULBS that I used near the Light transfer Plastic (the clear panel wit the extended plastic finger). These Clear Plastic panels have two fingers that go directly to two bulb locations where I added the RED LED Bulbs; hoping for the same results you have.

Does the panel dimmer still dim these or is on or off only?

It dims just like stock. No difference. LEDs will dim, they just turn on instantly when power is applied instead of having to warm up a filament in a bulb in order to get them working.

I know what an LED is, I have about 4,000 on my truck. Just wasn't sure if the design would allow dimming.

I have my Radio CD-6 converted to RED SMD LEDs and they do dim.
I haven’t tried the SMD Strip LED on a dimmer yet but my thinking is they will dim also.
i am in the process of converting all of the Knobs in my truck (HVAC/Headlights/4x4 sw) to an internal SMD, LED also, so I am hoping that all will dim at the same time and the same amount.

More progression:

Worked on finishing up the needle portion today. All I have to do is wire in my resistor packs.

I like how the camera picks up the color even when the LEDs are on, and the lights in my shop are on.. heh...

Wow, NICE !
I like the way it looks.
If you get some time how about writing something up with the parts and how you get the disc in place ?

Oh the donut rings?

I took the motors off the plexyglass piece, and drilled holes that were concentric with the existing stock holes. I used a 14mm drill bit. I did this very very carefully so I wouldn't crack anything, with a drill press.

Then I made the rings, glued the LEDs to them and soldered everything together. The rings fit pretty much perfect inside of the holes now. I did have to do some dremeling with a small stone to open the holes up a tiny bit because it wasn't perfect. Then I used a high temperature hot glue to hold them in place, while they were in there. Friction basically holds them in but the hot glue should help more.

OK got it !
Now the questions that beg to be asked, “how do these LED appear with all of the Cluster Lights on AND do they dim in the same levels as the other Cluster Lights ?

Look’n good !

Everything will be wired to the same +12 and Ground that the stock bulbs were, so I don't see how it wont dim exactly like the stock bulbs would. All of the LEDs in all of my clusters dim like stock (2004 Ranger/Evo IX)

The power-source that feeds them is dim-controlled, so the output stays the same.

I guess my question should have been, "Is the brightness of all of the LED in the Cluster the same“ ?

Oh yeah, they look really even I'd say. Needles also look really even.
