Cracked the center console (arm rest) in my 2011, really not impressed with the design of it all, on a hinge with nothing underneath it to support, maybe 3 inches past the hinge of support ? Tried glueing it back together but to no avail. wondering if it was possible to swap the whole console out for something more sturdy like one of a 07 ? guys at ford wanted 176.00 CND$ for a new one same model but I'm not interested in that because I know Il just break the damn thing again. Any one know if this swap is possible if so might be a junk yard fix...

You can buy a metal replacement for the plastic part. Someone will chime in with part #. I believe they are from an explorer and can be bought on rock auto.
