60/40 seats converting to bucket seat
Ok so I cut out the 40 part. The foam anyway. But I not have any idea how to get the metal part of the main drivers seat. Right now it's just basically two "bucket" seats with the square shaped metal in between them that is attached to the drivers seat. Somebody please throw me a bone here. This is getting really annoying.

When I did mine I took a sawzall to the metal. Cut it flush with the edge of the seat and wrapped the fabric over the edge. Trimmed any excess fabric.

Niiiiice!
U know I thought about putting like a long center console. Make it kinda like a car, put it over my stick shift and all.
But I just painted the thing around my stick shift. An I'm liking the space. I think gonna just leave it open for awhile. Plus I still got the arm rest thig that bolts to the side of the drivers seat. But that looks nice though

Maybe. But man you seen the retail on some of those bigger consoles? I'm not spending 100$ for that! Lol.
Going to the junkyard soon. Then we shall see haha. But I've got bigger projects to finance on this truck than a console. Looking into buying a magnaflow. Dying for a better sound out of my little 2.3l.

You what a better sound but don't want it to be to loud? Dynomax super turbo cat back. I installed one on my truck and I love it! And for the console go to junk yard I got mine for $20. I have a spare one in my explorer.

I don't wanna mess with the cat.
I just wanna change my stock muffler to An aftermarket one. An yeh you hit the nail on the head. I want better NOT louder. What ranger do you have? Cuz Idk the specifics on the size of muffler I need to buy. And I'm probably gonna get a local shop to put the new one in for me. Any idea how much the labor will run me?

Mine is a 97 Mazda b2300 se reg cab. Same as the ranger with different body panels and lights. I love mine I didn't mess with the cat on mine. The cat back system bolts up to the factory exhaust location and is a full system that replaces the pipes and muffler. Stock is 2 inch. The dynomax cat back is 2 1/4 inch pipe with a turbo muffler. It's not to much louder then stock but it has a nice tone to it I love it. After you put some miles on it and break it in it gets the tone and is awesome. You can tell with the windows down but windows up it's quiet. That's what I wanted. I play with the gas to hear it lol. You don't replace the cat with this system it's everything after the cat.
----------
I went to a shop and they quoted me $40 to weld in a muffler I bring or cost of muffler and $40 for just muffler and stock pipes, I got the cat back because I wanted a better tone and it does have slightly bigger pipes which does help with that. I'm happy it was $165 though through jegs and got a $25 gift cert to jegs (I didn't buy the kit, my gf did for me for Christmas) I was gonna buy it but she beat me to it I wanted it for a while because I wanted new pipes. The only thing I don't like is the tip, it's oval not circle. But it's growing on me. And the tail pipe mounts up closer to the body which I like.

This is exactly what I have. Price went up a little. Last year they were doing a $75 rebate. Wish they had that now.

Hmmm so dynomax huh?
Have you heard this ranger on YouTube? They got some 2.3ls with the magnaflow and it almost sounds like a car. Kinda what I'm looking for.
I'm not wanting super cheap but I'm looking in the 100-170$ range. What do you think?

The dyno max kit is $170. I've listened to a lot of videos. And was gonna do a thrush welded but I didn't feel like cutting out the muffler I still have my stock exhaust I'm gonna cut it and weld it so it's straight pipe out by the rear tire just to mess around and see. I have the cat back now my next thing is I'm doing a 5.0 swap from my explorer and I have to have pipes made from headers into a connector to bolt up the cat back in the factory location.
----------
also the problem with videos is what is used to record them. Mostly cell phones. The quality sucks. I look for the most up to date videos just because technology has gotten better and maybe they have something that will capture the video and sound good. But most the time they don't. I have an issue with my cat also, it's leaking and the heat shields rattle because they are falling off. I can't stand it

So is it possible for me to just buy a muffler and have them only change the muffler an get a better sound?
Simple in theory but. When it comes to money. That's the trick
