Default Need help wiring up mountaineer seats to my ranger

Well I have had some Mountaineer leather powered/heated seats in my truck for a while now. It's killing me because they are jacked the hell all the way up and I need the diagram to wire them up. Has anyone ever done this? They are out of a 2000 Mountaineer. I need to get them wired up to lower em and move them back. If anyone has the diagram it would be very helpful. And if you need pics of the wires I can get them tomorrow. Thanks for any help.

if you have a male end grab 2 nails that fit into the end of the plug not to tight.... on each nail wrap a piece of wire around the nail and use some black electrical tape to hold wire onto nail.. clean off other ends of the wire and using a battery from a cordless drill touch the wires to the battery 1 on each side.. try the switches.. if not working change the wire to the other side of battery from the cordless drill .. if you have female end you need some alligator clips... to grab the ends inside of the plug.. make sure they don't touch each other use a little black electrical tape around the 1st clip you attach to the plug end then attach the other alligator clip... follow process with the battery from a cordless drill.. this tip also works great when you have a window switch go out and you can't get window up!

ONLY USE A BATTERY FROM A 9.6 OR A 12 VOLT CORDLESS TOOL... 14 or 18 volts will fry motor in seat...

Ok Thanks Troy. Now I can use a 6-8 gauge wire correct? And does this hook up to the same spot you wire up your OHC?

That sounds very dangerous.

not sure what size wire to use. i would tie it into the cig lighter. make sure you use a fuse.

as far as what 1duglally was saying, that's how i move power seats at the junkyard. use my cordless drill battery (12v) and some wiring.

I'd be careful putting power to random wires. Mine have the airbags in the seats, at least according the diagram I found, and putting power to the wrong circuit means buying new seats and maybe more. I have mine running from my cig lighter under the 4wheel selector to the seats. Just powered the main motor. Works just fine. You will have to find a new way mount your seatbelts, but I'm sure you can "engineer" something together.

on all the seats i pull and work on, the airbag connections are bright yellow. if the plug is black or grey, no problem.

Black/white power wire, black ground.
Both seats require a combines 25 amp circuit.
Don’t attach these seats to the cig lighter, run a fused line from the battery or main circuit panel if there is a slot open that is setup for 25 amps.
A 25 amp circuit will work fine on a 12 ga or even a 14 ga wire since the time of use is low (normally a 10-ga wire would be required) but do it right and don’t worry after that.

Run the 12-ga wire from the power source and split it near the seats.
