Default LED dash lighting question

For anyone that has swapped out 100% of your dash lights for LED's, every single one of them on that dimmable circuit, what was the effect on your dimmer? Does it dim anything at all or did it become an on/off switch?

its been a while since I had the ranger but I'm pretty sure mine would dim. Until I just put LED strips in to get rid of hotspots, then obviously I couldn't dim those

It dimmed all mine. Doesnt dim them a lot until all the way down though. But it still does work as a dimmer.

However, when I dim them all the way down, my fog light button led cuts all the way off. But that's the only one that does.

Depending on the type of led's, they should all dim.

Sometimes different types of led's will dim at different rates, mostly due to the different voltages they operate at.

In general from 100% down to about 50% they should all dim at the same rate. Below 25% you may notice some that are brighter than others like the cluster vs the headlight/4x4/fog switch led's.

They will dim but not like normal bulbs will. They will dim a little but not almost all the way off like halogens

----------

I have LEDs in my cluster and hvac. And leave it turned all the way up. I like the numbers bright. But I gotta take them out again because one of the bulbs is flickering

Thanks guys. Been doing some testing and experiments with LED's, and I noticed that in the truck, and if a few LED's are added along with incandescent, they dim smoothly down to nothing but if a single LED is bench tested using a dimmer switch, it's on/off, practically no dimming, it's like they hit hit a trigger voltage and it's all or nothing. I've got ideas buy I'm not exactly sure (yet) why it's playing out like that.

Thanks, I have an option in hand (X2) that fits right in where the current dimmer is if I want to go that road, no coughing involved.
