Default LED Gauge?

Has anyone just stuck an LED in the gauge cluster bulb sockets? If you've done it, could you tell me which ones were used
Trying to have blue speed, gas meter, etc.

More involved than just replacing bulbs if you want blue. There is a green 'film' that makes your white bulbs show green, and this is the problem. To be blue, the green 'film' has got to go. The bulbs are 194. Also try searching, this has been done alot.

Yeah, i've already stripped some of the green. But just colored blue once it was off. Didn't come through at all, or even. Can you get those at radioshack, autozone, etc?

if you wanna change the color your gonna have to sand off the green paint and either buy a color led bulb or repaint it

I found the Blue glass coloring isnít too bad but can get too thick really fast if you are trying to get a darker blue.
The Black OEM Gauge face actually has a white translucent coloring to it and dilutes the color.
I tried RED and didnít like the color when finished. (diluted RED is called PINK)

At this time I replace the Gauge faces with RED Character ones and trying the SMD-LEDs around the interior of the Gauge Cluster to achieve an even lighting setup. Still a little ways to go but it is getting there.
Pics when finished.
