Looking for a decent CB.
Let me know what you got, not seriously interested as of now, just seeing what's out there. This will be bought around Christmas.
----------
Preferably with a PA

A cobra 19 would be all you would need. Its got a direct switch over to PA. You can get that and a PA from radio shack.

Re: Looking for a decent CB.
Cobras suck unless your gonna spend over 100 bucks for one. Been trough 2 cobra 19s and they suck. The pa isn't as loud as other radios with the same speaker. Get the midland 1001z for 30 bucks off Amazon. Sound quality makes the 19 sound like shit and the PA is louder even using the same loudspeaker. Also it has an RF gain. Truckers and anyone i talk to says im coming in very clear. Can't beat that for 30 bucks. STAY AWAY FROM THE COBRA 19 it's shit

You can get a Cobra 19 from Walmart for little to nothing. But, like 2003rangerfx4 said, there's a reason they're so cheap. If you want a good Cobra, the Cobra 29LTD is amazing. I've ran one for years. But if there is a truck stop or radio shop anywhere close to you, you can have it peaked and tuned and get a lot more power and range out of it

Re: Looking for a decent CB.
Here is my setup, all in all I spent ~$150 for everything. I haven't tried the PA so I can't comment on it.

X2.
If you just want it for looks, go with a 2ft. But if you actually plan on using it, the longer your antenna, the more reach you have. Granted, if you live in the Midwest where its flat, you can get a little more distance with a smaller antenna than you would anywhere in the mountains...
