Default Driver side seat

I have a 1992 Ranger and my back broke on my seat. Right now I have it propped up with a wooden stick and piece of ply wood behind it to hold me up while I drive.

I'm really looking to just replace the whole and don't care to spend too much. I just haven't had time to go scour around the couple junk yards in the area.

I'll drive a little ways if some one has one for sale.

I have no idea. I haven't taken the thing apart. All I know is the lever to raise or the lower the back doesn't catch, and I have issues with the track to pull the seat forward. Like it's bent or something so it won't come forward. I figured if i found the whole thing I could always change out the upholstery.

Well if the price is right and since you're close to Allentown, we'll see what works out.

If I had an extra $1500 I'd buy an exact duplicate of a Ford Ranger like mine real close to me. Then I'd have all the pieces I need.

Hell, tear that shit apart. It's already broke you ain't gonna make it any worse. Maybe you can stick a bolt in it and lock it down.

Yeah my dad mentioned maybe taking it to a welding shop and having them weld it up into place where I want it. I know a couple welders from church I might give them a call.

This is unbelievable. At least I think so. I left for work early (I work 2nd shift) to swing by a junk yard I know of sort of on the way. I asked the lady if they had and Ranger/Broncos on their lot. She said it seemed a lot of people have wanted parts for Ranger's lately. She told me where to find them with the other Fords. I looked around but wasn't having much luck.
So I walked over to where they keep the vans to maybe look at front bumper covers for my van. Didn't see any worth while. So as I was getting ready to walk back up, I turned around and in the next section over I see what I think is a Bronco/Explorer. I thought, well it's seats are probably gone too.
Low and behold, the whole interior was still intact. Some some exterior parts was missing. I couldn't believe it. It was either $25 for the whole seat if I pulled it or $35 if they pulled it. I paid the 35 and let them do it in the cold. I pick it up tomorrow on the way to work. It's still in decent shape. So guess what I'll be doing this weekend. I'm so excited.
