Well pals, I really need URGENTLY the e-brake release latch for my Ranger.

Its a 96 Ranger, Im sure 95-96-97 Ranger /Explorer are the same. The issue is that some trucks (98 onwards i belive) has the longer metalic rod... 96 are much shorter and with a spring.

If anybody has this part... I REALLY REALLY NEED IT!!!!

First, thank you so much pal.

You need just 2 tools;

A Torx screwdriver (T-20 or T-25, i dont remember correctly) and,
A Flat swerdriver or drill

The torx is to take the latch support (2 screws) and the flat screwdriver is to break the rear bolt. You can also do this with a drill, as you need to break the rear bolt. That bolt may cause some problems, you need only to break it or cut it off.

Well thats an issue... since Im not from the US, my cel number would look more like a locomotive chassis number:

Im sure any 95-97 will work... it should have the short rod (about 9 to 10 cms = 3.5 to 4 inches), the spring arround that rod and the metalic hold down plate (fixed in place with the 2 torx I told you before).

I think this is the right time for me to ask you if you would ship to south america, if not you can send it to Clinton as Im buying some stuff from him soon an he can ship all together here

It did... but that was from a 94 (I realised that one day I loked at the pictures un PMd me... unfortunately it was on its way here). I made an "hybrid" between your and my original rod... but didnt lasted for long... so Im in the oddysey once again

Yea... worked perfectly... with the new motor it worked A+ (yes... some glue went into it).

Also Clinton sended me another cluster (white)... so I have a standard one in my garage. Thank you so much for that too btw!!!!!!!
