So when I order mine, should I order the t5s as well or just the 6 main 194 bulbs?

In all honesty... the T5 "idiot lights" don't make a ton of difference, they're more for the "I've got led's in my entire cluster" factor.
They will light up quicker than incandescent bulbs & have a whiter light, but the OEM bulbs are a MAJOR PITA to get out.

I'm thinking about modding some for my cluster, but the old bulbs work & I really don't want to take my cluster out again.

The T10 bulbs (I prefer the blue smd led's in the last pic) really bring the WOW factor.

i have a cluster with blue film gauges. do i need to do blue LEDs or will white be better?

Personally, I'd go with the blue led's.
It should give it a deeper/richer blue... take a look at my hvac panel, it has white led's behind a blue filter. It's a slightly lighter shade of blue than my cluster... not much, just a little bit.

3-27-11 UPDATE

I'm out of v1.0 & v2.0 mustang dome led's right now... not to worry, I've got more on order.

I'm out of the T10 7x red led's too... I can order more if anyone wants them (probably take a couple weeks to get them in though)

Install Note:

Sometimes when installing the Mustang Dome LED's, you may need to squeeze the metal contacts together a little to hold onto the LED bulb bases better.
The old incandescent bulbs tend to be a little bigger diameter than the LED's... plus the bulb holders can get loose over time.
Squeezing the metal contacts together (with the bulbs removed) will create more tension on the LED's contacts & hold them in place better.

I'm thinking your style of hvac panel uses a t5 base bulb, but I don't have a hvac panel that new to play with yet.
Next time you have your dash apart, snap some pics of your bulb holders for me & I'll see what I can come up with... better yet, if someone has a spare hvac panel from a 2000+ Ranger that they don't need or would like to sell, let me know.

Terry, the HVAC bulbs are similar to the dash bulbs of the newer model years. They are the 74 bulbs. Slightly smaller, if that helps.

I got my LED's from you yesterday btw, and installed them today. I about blinded myself working on my Dome light, lol. AND, I figured out that you had to squeeze the metal clips all by myself. I'm such a big boy, lol.
