Re: buggman's Plug-in LED's leds (KY)
I get tons of questions about changing the colors in gauge clusters using led's... swapping the bulbs for led's is easy... removing the gauge overlays to wet sand the color filtering off is pretty easy... calibrating the needles afterwards can be the tough part.
Many times I've sent links to THIS THREAD for reference & I thought I'd include the link here for anyone interested in doing the mod themselves.
I haven't calibrated the needles myself, but I seem to remember several folks have used the AA battery method described in the how-to thread. I have a couple "test" clusters to mess around with & I've pulled the needles off & placed them back on in random areas just to see how the lights look.
I've also heard some guys have calibrated their MPH by using their GPS & driving at a set speed & pressing the needle in place while driving... I haven't tried this method either & it could be dangerous if you're not careful, so if anyone is thinking about using the GPS method make sure you have a buddy helping you out & don't even think about doing that in a heavily trafficked area.
Hope this helps anyone who's wanting to change the color of their gauge cluster but don't know where to start or how to go about it.

Re: buggman's Plug-in LED's leds (KY)
Hey Buggman,
Recently picked up a 'stang dome and guess what, it needs LEDS!
Still have any of your festoon type bulbs? Also do you have any pictures of them installed at night?
Currently I have LEDS in my dome but they look blue and it does get on my nerves a tad. Was thinking maybe one of the "warmer" bulbs for the center and the super bright ones for the map lights.
Let me know what you got man!

Here's the only pic I could find of my older 'stang dome led's:
Not my truck, but an old buddy from the forums.
He's running my 'stang dome led's & one of my ohc led panels. I've heard he has to wear SPF 900 every time he opens the doors.

Re: buggman's Plug-in LED's leds (KY)
Looks good man. So which festoon blubs do you have available? The standard and the warm ones? Also would it be better to put one of your pre-made LED panels w/ the festoon connector for the center dome?

Re: buggman's Plug-in LED's leds (KY)
I believe all the mustang dome led's I have now are the super bright white with a hint of blue.
There may not be enough room in the center dome section for even one of my small 24 led panels, but the "festoon" style led's will fit all 3 spots on the 'stang domes.

Hmm, can you get me measurements of your 24led panel? I've got the dome sitting here that I can measure as well.
Could you get me prices on all of these?
Thanks!

Re: buggman's Plug-in LED's leds (KY)
Yeah, the 24 led panel is 1 1/2" long by 1 1/8" wide by 3/8" thick.
It's been a while since I tried to fit one in the stang dome, but it seems like the curves inside made it a little too tight.
The 24 led panel would run $5 with the festoon adjustable bulb adapter.
A set of 3 of the mustang dome led's would run $15

I have done reverse, brake & turn led's but I haven't been able to find any good led arrays for them in a long time.
I have a thread for those led's here too, as soon as I find some good led arrays to mod (and once I have them modded) I'll be sure to update that thread as well.

I put leds on my heater dials and cluster this past summer and seem ok then about an month ago my hazards did not work so thanks to this form I was told I need new relay so I bought the ep27 but due to extreme cold haven't installed it yet. However today I just noticed the heater dial lights were flickering. Does any one know why?? Thanks
