Cool ohc sensor

i'm looking for the sensor that you hookup to the ohc and the harness to hook it up with. got the ohc outta a jy and they wanna charge me like 30 bucks or more just for the sensor and harness. i know if i go to ford and buy it the harness alone is 40 bucks and then the sensor is another 40. please someone help

Go find an explorer parked somewhere and snag it na junk yard should be cheap.

Autozone 12 bucks.
Tell them u need a ambient temp sensor for a 1998 explorer.

Part number is SU2293 it will come with about 5" of wire.

nope doesnt come with wire and they raised their price they are 17.99 plus tax noe. tried advance auto parts as well 15.00 plus tax and no pigtail.

cool i dont mind buying ti it's the fact that the jy that i got the wrong sensor from was acting like a bunch of douchebags. and they are the only one around me that actually had the ohc.

it's possible that the explorer they got the OHC from also had the EATC (Electronic Air Temperature Controller) option -- that places a second sensor that looks the same (but is electrically different) on the opposite side of the radiator support. You can tell the difference by the color of the wiring on the pigtail.

bought one off of HoustonM. he's gonna drop it off in the mail tomorrow so hopefully i get it by weds. if not it'll just have to wait until next friday to be put on.
