I have a Kenwood DNX 5120... HATE IT! I bought it off a friend who had it for, like 6 months cause the car he had it in got totalled, but the damn thing in like 4 months wouldnt spit out CD's and now dosent read discs... The Nav function is great and it has Sirius and XM but IMO... dont get that one...

My Pioneer AVIC-F700BT doesn't stick out at all, actually recessed in the bessel instead of flush like yours STL. But I don't have the Dash mount kit like you do. I just have a makeshift one that sits in there, still works but thinking about just buying a dash mount kit and be done with it.

You do have the ability to start off with a good reputable brand touch screen head unit, then add modules for nav, blue tooth, sat, etc later on if you decide to. Right now I'm happy being able to stuff an sd card in it and just have darn near my whole cd collection available on a touchscreen. Besides I already have a really good nav unit. I just have to find a low-profile place to mount it now- so my dash doesn't end up looking like circuit city.

lol, man wish we had a Circuit City down here, it went out of business . But yeah I'm the same way. All I want is a nice touch screen head unit that is able to play my ipod, my sd cards and my flash drives filled with pictures, movies and music. Bluetooth, about to get a headset from Walmart. GPS, already got my Garmin nuvi which I use rarely only on vacations and places I don't go as much. So yeah my unit is fantastic, inexpensive and loving every minute I use it
