Familiar with this one? Pros/Cons? I have never owned an alpine but have always heard people speak so highly of them.

My son has that same deck and has replaced it twice....something about the board shorting out.....be careful.

Just be careful, and try to get it with a guarantee of some sort. He has had this 3rd one in for a couple of months and it is working great.....The other 2 only lasted like 2 weeks before going south. I was amazed as the Alpine brand was top of the line back when I was into the stereo thing.

Prob the same as everything else on the market today. They just dont make stuff like they used to. I am still rocking a 13" sharp tv in my bedroom that is 15 years old and just as good as the day i took it out of the box lol. show me a TV today that will last that long haha

I have all alpine audio on my truck. Has been awesome in the 4 years I have had it.

If that radio is anything like the one I had keep the manual in the truck. I had to refer back to it every time to change the clock.

I think i might just get it from crutchfield that way if something does happen i can throw it back at them. Plus they have free shipping and all the install brackets and stuff included for like 180. Prob worth the extra for the piece of mind.

Cheap and Effective... I own that same one... I have had it since christmas. Although i dont know how to controll the Ipod from the Deck itself... it still works.... Only down fall is that you cant customize your presets... the radio does it for you which is terribly gay.

There is no way it wont let you do your own radio presets. You must be missing how to do it maybe....

I already ordered, got it from crutchfield with all the install stuff for less than 200. I orded the metra harness for my factory sub on ebay as well ($16). Should have the deck next week sometime. Gotta go pick up a box and sub now. I want to install it all at once.
