Default Re: OEM Fog Light Switch Conversion Kit For Aux Lights (KY)

I have a dumb question:

yesterday Ive finished installing the fog lights on my 96, but when tested them, the relay engages, both fog lights light up and even the icon on the switch... BUT, the switch doesnot "click" and it goes out again.

This is... I press it, both lights works but it wont remain engaged, it jumps again turning the lights off.

Question is... obviously my switch is busted, right?

This sounds bumb... but I hant to be 100% sure my switch is bad

I am from Uruguay man, here american Ranger are also rare, but there are a lot of brazilians and argentinian ranger, which have absolutely nothing to do with americans.

I got my brackets 1 month ago also from TRS, from edwards1687. Great guy!
Cant belive the material theyve got, built ford though!!!!

About the switch, I ordered it from Rockauto, its for a 99 Ranger/Explorer but the only difference its the color of the illumination, gree instear of blue-green.

Ill do a write up of the installation once its finished!

Ha ha!! Same guy, he told me he had shipped another set to uruguay so thats must be you

DId you get hold of a OEM radio bezel with the fog light switch? Ive been searching eBay awhile but none has come up, so;

I will be making a custom bracket for a fog switch along with 3 other switches for front & rear roof light (once installed) and a LED bar on the front bumber!

Yeap... thats me! He told me he had 2 sets of these brackets. I knew they were heavy and big, but it was a surprise anyway. You wont belive how heavy duty and well made these brackets are untill you recieve them. Totaly insane! And thats what I like about american cars; they are biult tough with much more material than needed.
Check for a Toyota or Nissan truck... they are made of plastic and last for a couple of years only. Crap!

No, Ive got my radio bezel from Clinton around 3 years ago, but the switch was bad so I order anotherone. Check at eBay, there are a lot of radio bezels with the cutout for the oem switch.

Ill do a write up about the fog light installation, Im sure it will help you a little bit man!!!
