night shaded emblems
Take a one piece Ford emblem and clean it wth glass cleaner then scuff wth a fine scotch bright pad lightly. Take a can of night shade black (shake well before use) and spray it nice even. Let flash or dry for a couple mins. Spray 3, 4 times, not to heavy let airdry for a good hr to fully cure.

Re: night shaded emblems
Just did this to my tailgate emblem. Came out a little darker than I expected even with only one coat. Still looks great though.

I use a metal putty knife, but alot of people use fishing wire, or a plastic knife. Putting a hairdryer to it will heat it up and make it easier to take off. Whatever works best i suppose and whatever tools you have on hand.

Re: night shaded emblems
I just did them, had to tape off the ranger emblems like crazy, but they're done. Taping them was actually easy. I will post pictures in the morning to see how it really turned out, but they look awesome!! Thanks for the idea man.

Would I be able to do anything like this to my 06 emblems? I have the 9 inch one piece for symbols. Also whoever owned the truck before me took the black off the lettering on the ranger badges. Would it be hard to paint the lettering crimson or red? I was thinking if I tape off the whole badge and take a razor blade and trim out around the lettering (since its recessed) that would be the easiest route. How is it hard to take the badges off the fenders?
