I have heard it was easier to mod the aftermarkets. It was easier to seperate the lense from the housing. I believe it was member Jp7 who did that

I have done both OEM and aftermarket. The older that the factory lights are the easier they are. I did a set of 2010 for one guy and they had probably only seen sunlight for 4 months so they were harder to get apart.

I did mine on my 2005 about 1 year after buying it. They were easy.
Aftermarket ones are similar the glue is not as strong as the factory glue.

I have a set of amber corners I can sell ya for trying it on them. I will cut ya a deal if you are interested.

Seen it before looks okay I think the 06+ corners blacked look the best.

I just learned of this mod! I wanted to do the same to my old car, but never did! Now I want black headlights.. so Ima do it sometime in the near future.. only question is..

my headlights are kind of cloudy, but it is from the inside.. I know the meguiers plastx works great, but its not permanent.. so I dont want to clean the headlights on the inside. seal them. and then they look like crap later..

They arent that bad, and it wouldnt be so noticable with the new black I suppose.. maybe im over reacting.. Im nit picky as shit.
