Does anyone have any suggestions? I didnt imagine getting them apart would be this frustrating.. haha.

Also, I'm using a brand new pair of OEM replacement headlights that I ordered from Rock Auto a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if this will make a difference as opposed to me using the stock housings from 04.

Just gotta keep at it. I spent probably 3 hours on a set from ford.
they have not seen sun light uv rays so will take time.

Suggest put in for 10 minute intervals to help some more. Use a flat blade screw driver and try to get some to separate and continue to heat.

Thanks Myke. It looks like I'm going to have to wait until I get another Sunday off from work. Itching to finally get the lights open and do my retrofit.

If it is sunny out during the week I suggest setting them out side in direct sunlight.

I've had mine done for 2 or 3 months and no paint chipping or moisture in the lights. It's hard for any paint to chip because it's enclosed. And as far as moisture there is a vent in the light.
Hasn't been an issue for me or my buddie that has done it

Recommend tub and tile clear sealant and really put a lot on there. I have not had any chips or moisture and I have had mine for a long time.

Hi been a member a bit never posted. Bought an 02 edge in December. Thinking of color matching the head and corners hope it look good. I seen the one small piece in the color match headlight mod thread and looks pretty decent. I just dont think the black would look that good with my bright red truck IMO. but stl truck looks good.

My only suggestion I've done this mod and when you cover the light to paint it I found it easy to lay the tape over instead of tryin to get the tape down into the light I'll attach a picture of mine to show what I'm talking about
