Yes! I used your plain o' blue masking tape used for painting the inside of a house or something. It took off a few small patches of the reflective stuff. Mine were completely unnoticeable, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about unless it took large patches out.

took one pretty big part out on the brim of one of the lights but nobody has noticed it, im just glad it wasn't like a freak thing that happened to just me

Just bought some clear silicone and krylon fusion black satin paint to match my grill. 20 bucks- cheap mod. Going to start it tonite or in the morning.

i messed mine up with tape, pulled the tape after painting and the silver crap mostly came off which pisses me off since i got the tape from the paint section, oh well what can i do i guess

For the ones that are pulling the chrome off the headlights. How are you applying it to that section?

I never press it down onto the lights. I always go around the edge with some tape then, basically let it sit up never touching the chrome part.

I have a some little spots of the Chrome peeled. I'm waiting for the silicone to dry as im typing. It looks sweet so far!

My wife was cool about the oven but she was freaking out about the lights she thought they would melt. "f*ck the oven you are going to ruin your truck!!!!!!" Her words. I just laugh and put a light in. It was classic.

i had a problem with this when i went to take off the tape it pealed off the chrome with it has this happened to anyone?

Yes people have had this problem. Usually due to quality of tape or the fact that they have pressed the tape down onto the chrome parts.
