Yes you can. You can get 20% which is the lightest they have for peel and stick tint. The darkest they have is 5%. I tried doing this three times and couldn't really get the edges smoothed out as much (aftermarket LED tails). So went and did the spray on tint using VHT night shade. Amazing stuff. And also reversible as peel and stick tint .

I tried doing this but I have no patience haha so I drove down to advanced and bought some vht night shade. Only thing I hate is that I didn't do it before haha it looks so sleek now

I tried this, and had no luck. I bought the Gilla brand 20% peel and stick cling type tint. I tried for an hour to get it to cling and it wouldnt. I cleaned the hell out of my lights with alcohol, used a hair dryer, still nothing. Looks like I'm returning the tint and getting VHT...

Okay so walmart has the cheap stuff its about 12$. I only did one tail light tonight with lota help from my mom (ik haha F n' hilarious) turned out pretty good. Took about an hr used the tint and poly urethane type clear rubbery tape to hold it on the back side. Look in my album for pics i used 20% i wanted 35% but they didnt have it. Also in my album is the damage the glida adhesive tint did to my tail light. I the one so far does not dim the light coming from your tail light that much to my surprise.

After about 4 hours of trial and error I found out that hot glue is perfect for holding down the edges. I wasn't able to finish last night but I will finish it this evening and post pic's as well.
