First off this is one way to swap 06 mirrors onto 93-97 there are other and better ways but this is the way i did it (didnt do enough research first)
Tools used:
11mm 3/8 drive socket 6pt
3in 3/8 drive extension
phillips screw driver
3/4in metal hole saw
cordless drill
Parts used/needed:
06 ranger mirrors
6 thick metal washer
stock mirrors:
inside shots:
Remove door panel 3 phillips screws 1 on top by mirror one on arm rest 1 on bottom of door panel
Next remove window crank and the phillips bolt behind it, pull on the back of the crank on the outside edges to pop off the cover.
Remove the 4 phillips screws holding the speaker in. (we will get to why later)
Now that the door panel is off pull of the 3 11mm bolts holding on your mirror.
now you are left with these 3 holes you will need to drill them out with your hole saw. (this is why you want to pull your speaker out so you do not fill it full of metal shavings.
After you are done it will look like this:
then you will use put the mirrors on and put your washers on and shim them out as needed. tighten 3 bolts on mirror reassemble the door panel and do the other side repeating these steps.
Finished product:
showing off the new 2wd grill also the headlights are 3000k hids they look blue in the picture but are actually yellow.
i will post up some more pictures tomorrow and interior shots so far i love these mirrors they make the truck look a lot tougher and newer.
this is just one way to swap 06 mirrors onto my 93 there are better ways that i didnt know or think of at the time of the install (cutting down the nubs so the posts dont stick out so you dont have to drill such big holes, this just shows how much you should do your research to find the best possible way to do something.)
