How do you even know where to bolt the big bracket? Like how far/closer from the dash

Yeah that's what I did. Just used self tap screws for the big bracket

I just guessed. I put the shell of the console over the bracket then took the shell off and put it in. It was a little off but it went to the dash with just a little gap

It's not high enough in the back. The dash bracket doesn't sit flush with the dadh

Should I cut some of my carpet or try and self tap through it?

I wouldn't cut it. So that just incase you decide to take it off you didn't have a hole in the carpet

Good point. If y'all want to get your armrest redone with a different color or a image/text on it, talk to Glenn, gcextreme. He's going to be doing mine in red with a Nebraska Cornhuskers N on it. Can't wait.

I can't post pics I'm all done. Before you put the self tappers in out your seats back in. Leave the front dash bolts loose and adjust it to where it looks the best then tap through. That's the best way in my opinion to get it where you want it

Couldn't you put a few self tappers in the bracket with the shell on

That's what I did. All the brackets still mounted to the console itself and put it in place. A lot easier

Did you guys leave the air duct in the console? I gotta remove it cause I'm planning on putting my GPS brain for my radio and sub amp under it. But the duct is still in and not sure if cutting it out will make the console weak

I left the part in in the very front but I took the motor and all the wiring for it out and I took out the rear ac controls so I could stash knives and other things in there
