I would post a picture of what your talking about but I can't for some reason, you talking about the metal frame that the big part of the console screws to? No it's not welded it's bolted and it's slides onto what is called "the claw", and no lol my fingers were wet and I have big fingers with small letters Sent from my iPhone 5 using FRF App

Got a center console today for my 1994 extended cab ranger. Does anyone know how the front mounts up?

You have to use that bracket to mount it to the floor. Thinking about it I'm not sure if I have the dash mount. I'm gonna cut apart the main mount that you posted a pic of and try to build a sub box in the console. I haven't installed It yet in my regular cab.

I'm thinking of something different, but you do need both mounts

http://rockledge.home.comcast.net/Ra...leBracket2.jpg this is the bracket I'm referring to, it is bolted to the floor beneath the big metal frame, and the frame is bolted to it

Go to the junkyard and find one. Or check eBay. I got a nasty scar from when I pulled mine cause I didn't know you had to push it backwards. Cut my arm open pretty good.

Junkyard ain't got em, already checked for that console that's why I looked on craigslist.
I'll check eBay, but I highly doubt I find one

That's how I feel. I keep looking at mine. I'm waiting for my explorer seats to get redone. The guy has had them for 2 months now. Hopefully soon they will be done. I'm pulling the front cubby holes in mine and making a switch panel

So far I'm $500 in seats and console, about $800 in stereo and about to be another $150 for new floor.
