Re: How to: Throttle Cable mod
I did this mod today and my truck being a 2011 still took 2 medium zip ties (the 10" long ones).
You could probably do one better and use one of those cable crimp collars if you have access to one, you know like the ones used to crimp pieces of cable together? I noticed that plastic zip ties bend and flex a bit under the tension of the throttle body, but a solid metal sleeve clamped on there would not.

Re: How to: Throttle Cable mod
Done it this morning.
PROS: incredible throttle respone. Totally recommended, great improvement
CONS: none. Plus, its totaly reversible. Your can take off the zip tie whenever you want.
Instead of using a couple of small zip ties, I used a big one. Like Loos sayd... " less is more"
here are some pics of the result:
pic #1: throttle moved upwords; you can see how the zip tie is attached to the throttle rod:
pic#2: throttle in normal position:
Im sorry for the blurry pics.
I know replacing the cable is a better sollution; but for just a couple of cents... this is a great mod with great results!!!

Re: How to: Throttle Cable mod
If you haven't done this one yet, or at least checked to see if your cable is stretched, than please do it. It helps exponentially. The 4.0 feels so much more powerful now, thanks for posting this.

Re: How to: Throttle Cable mod
Did this last night and noticed a huge difference on my way to work this morning! I only put 1 big ziptie on mine , but the results are awesome. Just seems to be smoother, accelerating and especially downshifting
