Did you cut out a piece of the gray liner/foam behind the pedal. Most other pics dont show that cut out and neither did mine. So i cut out a piece similar to yours only not as neat. Seemed to pick up a bit more slack that way and fit a second zip tie on. Pedal has very little play now and response on truck is awesome!!!! Great Mod!!!

These pics are exactly what i was looking at. only needed one tie. yeah, i'm a fat ass and i just layed flat on my back (edit: ass hanging out of the truck) in the floorboard. easy to do.

Went to do this today...guess what...already had 2 zip ties on the cable. Looks like the previous owner was a FRF member :-)

I just did this mod. Totally works. I got 3 zip ties on there, and now all the slack is gone and there's no play on the pedal. $0.03 cent mod made a huge difference!

Wow, this is amazing. I managed 4 zip ties on there. No wonder my 2.9 felt so weak going up hills, I gained so much more power being able to open the throttle up all the way now. This mod is the best thing I've read on FRF, and the cheapest.

Well I added 2 zip ties to my cable, just other day in really loose dirt I was able to spin a tire. I'll test driving out after work tomorrow. I wonder if the cable being stretched affected my shift points, I'll know more tomorrow

And to add, pervious owner said rack lights didn't work and only switch I saw had no wiring. While doing cable mod I found another switch and all the wires for rack lights that I remove to replace. So new ones will be quick add cause not having to run wires,

Holy crap, the acceleration response was incredible. I barely got a wheel spin in loose dirt the other day, but after this mod, I was able to roast the crap out of it. Didn't even have to power brake it either. I'm really impressed, awesome mod.
